Synapse music was formed in 2006 by Mark Fraser. Born in Wales, UK and rasied in Buffalo, NY, Mark moved to Los Angeles in 1992 and signed to Chris Blackwell's Island Records as bassist for post-punk rockers ìStanford Prison Experimentî. SPE released 3 albums and toured the world sharing stages with Rage Against the Machine, Primus, The Jesus Lizard and Faith no More before disbanding in 1998.

Mark first realized the potential of music licensing when Stanford placed a song in New Line Cinemas's American History X starring Ed Norton and has been creating music for film ever since. Synapse clients range from large film and production companies to students and non-profit organizations.
